Reider's Brief overview of Shops Kitesurf Boards

This is Reider Decker from Hatteras island Surf Shop, Hisswaves.com. Going over some Airush kite surfboards — we’ve got free shipping this year, plus some closeout boards. We have boards under $400, under $500, and some awesome boards that I’ve ridden a lot.

Mini Monster Boards

  • Two versions: custom epoxy wood (softer flex, like a traditional surfboard) and a stiffer version.

  • Both are pretty flat, plane upwind well, and are playful in waves.

  • The Mini Monster is even more playful — it slides out a little more easily, making it great for flat water and small waves.

  • Sizes: “comp” versions in 5′10″ and 5′8″.

Comp Boards

  • All-around wave boards, but also really good in flat water.

  • If you ride them forward, they plane off nicely.

  • I’ve ridden these a lot in waves — they hold really well, very versatile.

Converse Boards

  • Older 5′9″ strap version with inserts — great, affordable strap board.

  • A 5′11″ strapless version as well, but it still has inserts (very durable).

  • Overall, a solid all-around wave board, especially for a deal.

Carbonara (Comp) Version

  • 5′10″ carbon version — good for heavier riders (~185 lb+).

  • There’s also a wood version with a deck pad and inserts; very smooth rocker, excellent for wave riding.

AMP Board

  • Extremely versatile: waves, flat water, upwind, strapless, freestyle.

  • Popular sizes: 5′4″ and 5′6″.

  • Some say it feels a little “bumpy” because of the flatter shape, but it rides really well for everything.

Cypher Boards

  • Parallel rails — great for strapless riding.

  • Also forgiving in flat water.

  • Barton rides the 5′2″ (“52”) a lot; there’s also a 4′10″ (“410”) version that Michael uses.

New Mini Monster

  • More playful for toe-side stuff; very versatile.

  • Has a “convert” bottom (different fin setups possible).

New AMP Shape

  • Now has a squash tail, which gives it better hold (especially on back‑hand in bigger waves).

  • Slightly less playful than the old shape, but more controlled.

Carbon AMP

  • Two versions: heavier layup (with graphic) and a lighter one.

  • The lighter one is more responsive.

OS‑1 Board

  • Updated version of the Converse.

  • Carbon construction with inserts — super durable (“bombproof”).

  • A great board for bigger waves that lasts a long time.

Sale Details

  • All these boards are on sale at pisswaves.com.
